This is Regina Khumalo. She lives with 10 children. Nine are orphans. No one is employed in the family and they are surviving on social grants.
AKNMF decided to build a 2 room house for this family. It’s now ready for Gogo Khumalo to move in.

Christmas greetings 2015
Christmas greetings from Pongola!
I happened to stamble over a quote by Malayan Proverb which reads ”One can payback the loan of gold but one dies forever in debt to those who are kind”. Your individual efforts has touched and made different in the lives of many people of Pongola. Our young girls are walking with pride to school throughout the school periods without fear of being embarassed by natural periodical manstruation which is completely beyond their control. Today one can see a smile on women with faces that clearly displays many years of Hardship, stress and hopelessness. Their children leaves home to school dress like all other children and come back home not complaining about starvation. One women whose life had been touched by AKNMF efforts once said One does not need to be in any quick travelling transport to tell the endless list of good help by AKNMF because a destination can always be reached without telling the last good help by AKNMF. This reminds me of some of the the last words found on Anna-Karin´s last writings where she said ”Do not moan that I am gone but enjoy that you once rub shoulders with me”. May her soul rest in peace but her good work and love for humankind will remain forever!!!
In the name of Pongola people I would like to say thank you to each and every one of you and every one who contributes in the AKNMF account for having gone an extra mile and continue where Anna Karin ended by helping the people of Pongola. May our gratitude be echoed to every one and every institution that has made different in the lives of the people of Pongola in South Africa.
Last but not list I wish everyone of you and your families a merry Christmas with a New Year full of blessings.

Gogo Simelane
Yesterday I visited Gogo Ester Zamani Simelane. She lives with 10 children. The children were left with her by her two late doughters. To reach her place of residence one has to leave a car at a distance of about two kilometres and walk down to the valley. She does not get pension as yet and survive on social grant of some of the kids she lives together with. She lives in this about to fall house. She does not have electricity and therefore does not own a any electrical appliance.
She used to live in this valley when her husband was still alive. She now wishes to move out of this valley to build a new home in a better place. She has a bought a new little site where AKMNF will build a new house for her and the children.
